Animal Body Con Dress – Warehouse

Once we arrive in January, the Christmas and New Year Party season will be over, it is time to pack away those party dresses (for a week or two anyway) and start thinking about your wardrobe for the year ahead.

At The beginning of each year most of us also have resolutions to keep, as the new year normally represents a point in time when we can look forward with optimism and use it as a new start.

Everyone wants to look stylish and feel good about themselves and part of this is ensuring that you get the maximum style and wear from every piece of clothing that you buy, so adopting the following good habits allows you not only to fulfil a new years resolution, but look and feel great about it too.

  • Shop the sales carefully for bargains that you will wear

Everyone loves a bargain in the sales but it is only a bargain if it is something that you actually need and will wear. Think carefully about the gaps in your wardrobe and use the sales to fill those gaps. If you hardly ever go to parties don’t buy more party dresses instead get some casual dresses. Shopping in the sales is also a good time to buy something that you might not usually be able to afford, perhaps a designer handbag or designer dress. Look for versatile item that will not go out of fashion to quickly and can be worn in lots of different ways.

  • Clear out clothes that you no longer wear

Clearing out any clothes that you don’t wear is a great way to make some space so that you can actually see what is in your wardrobe. Be ruthless, if you don’t feel good in a piece of clothing, get rid.  It is also a good way to remind yourself of what you have actually got. You can recycle old clothes by swapping, selling or donating them to charity.

  • Choose clothes that suit your body shape

By choosing clothes that suit your body shape you will always look and feel great. You don’t need to stick to wearing the same clothes all of the time but if you find a particular style that works well for you why not base your outfits around it. You can vary colours, patterns and accessories to keep the look fresh. By dressing to your strengths you can avoid those days when you feel like you tummy, hips or thighs look to big or you look too short. If you want to wear a leopard print dress then choose a leopard print dress in a shape that suits you.

  • Find out your best colours and wear them

If you always want to look healthy with a glowing complexion, then you should try and find clothes in colours that compliment you natural colouring. You should avoid at all costs the colours that make you look pale and drained. To find your best colours first decide whether you have a warm or cool skin tone. Warms will look good in browns, reds, yellows or oranges whilst cool skin tones will look best in purple, greens, blues and pinks.

  • Develop your own style

Style is all about individuality. You don’t need to just follow the crowd, you can do your own thing. Seek out individual pieces and unique dresses that you love and don’t be afraid to wear them. Always wear clothes that make you feel comfortable and happy. If you are wearing something that you don’t feel happy in, your discomfort will show. If you get fed up with wearing the same old jeans and t shirts all of the time, why not get some casual dresses instead.
