The value-for-money retailer Peacocks who have had a long history of having some great fashion collections at rock bottom prices have come up with another fabulous collection and one that has been hotly anticipated. It is that of the Pearl Lowe Autumn and Winter 2010 collection launched On Sunday.

We have to say that on first inspection it certainly lives up to it’s hype, and while the Pearl Lowe association is quite established by now, this collection has been leaked as the best yet.

Of course Pearl Lowe has been a designer of Dresses, interiors and fabrics and has gradually developed her own brand after here initial career as a singer and song writer. Her initial clothing ranges were sold in the Exclusive London Department store Selfridge’s, and since then has branched into interiors and fabrics. Her association with Peacocks has been for about 4 years now, and has been successful enough to maintain a healthy following, and the reports of queues at branches of Peacocks to be one of the first to grab one of the pieces is only testament to that popularity.

Pearls signature look can said to be Gothic-esque, featuring dark colours and Lace, but her collection for Peacock is actually quite eclectic but covers all the on trend fashions that are either established or emerging, such as animal print, lace and vintage looks, in fact Pears inspiration for this collection draws heavily from the Golden glamour days of Hollywood tapping in t rich fashion seam of the moment, another reason why this collection is likely to be popular are the prices which start from as little as £10.00!

Key pieces in the collection are undoubtedly the dresses which are quite simply great and ideal for the Christmas Party.

Probably the stand out Party dress from the collection is this wonderful Pearl Lowe Animal Print Shift Dress, tapping into the big trend for animal print which has been pioneered most recently by the Balmain and No21 catwalk shows.

This Pearl Lowe Lace Collar Dress again taps into two trends, not only Lace which is so big currently, but also the retro look especially with the classic 1950′s look brought about by the “madmen” craze. But an unusual twist to a Little Black dress.

Perhaps this Pearl Lowe Chiffon Frill Dress is nearer to a traditional party dress. A wonderfully feminine dress with the soft frill detailing being so luxurious and reminiscent of the hollywood glamour that Pearl has used as inspiration for he A/W10 collection.
